 Lisa Willey, Business Development Manager for Holland America Lines recently returned from the inauguaration of Holland America Line's newest ship, the ms Eurodam and shares her experience with us.
"The naming ceremony took place on July 1st in Rotterdam with Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands officially dedicating the ship. It was an incredible experience and one I will always remember.
I then spent a few days aboard the Eurodam, enjoying the new areas and new features of the ship. Check these out ...
Spa Staterooms:
There's lots of buzz about the newest category ~ 56 luxury Spa Staterooms located on the top two levels of the ship, in close proximity to The Greehouse Spa. This category offers a unique array of amenities including organic cottom bathrobes and slippers, access to a no-host minibar stocked with specialty waters and fresh cut-fruit plus a spa concierge to book your treatments. The staterooms are also equipped with iPod docking stations, a Yoga mat, Fitness DVD's and a pedometer to use aboard the ship.
Lido and Retreat Cabanas:
 You can enjoy newfound privacy in the Lido Cabanas or enjoy the ocean air in the comfort of your own private sanctuary in a Retreat Cabana. Lido and Retreat Cabanas are available to all guests, regardless of stateroom category and include a multitude of amenities.
The Tamarind Restaurant:
 This new Pan-Asian restaurant serves "reservation-only" lunches / dinners with a capacity of 144 guests. The complimentary lunch menu features an assortment of classic Asian dumplings with accompanying fusion sauces. Guests also have the choice of ordering Asian-inspired cuisine off the menu or enjoying Rijsttafel (a Dutch adaptation of the traditional Indonesia dinner, served family style by Indonesia staff).
The Silk Den:
Located across from the Tamarind, this is my favorite new spot. The calming Asia inspired decor has sweeping views over the Lido pool area or an unobsructed sea view. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy one of the newly created "sake" martinis.
The Atrium:
 The Atrium Chandelier is an impressive piece of art whose flowers will change color depending on the time of day ~ bright colors during the day with warmer colors in the evening.
The Eurodam is truly a wonderful ship and I do hope you take the opportunity to enjoy the experience one day!"
